Varisty Cup fixtures for your local universities
JOBURG – When and where Wits and UJ will be playing this Varsity Cup.
Varsity Cup is back and will be open to the public for the first time since 2020. The 15th edition of the university rugby tournament will kick off on 14 February and it’s guaranteed to be nine rounds of intense, thrilling and entertaining rugby.
Additionally, with this year being a relegation season, teams will bring their A-game to ensure they avoid the chop to the Varsity Shield. With so much at stake it would be one of the biggest mistakes of the year to not keep up with Varsity Cup 2022.
Wits University and the University of Johannesburg will be participating in this year’s tournament with both of them playing their first match on February 14 against Nelson Mandela University and the Central University of Technology, respectively. The battle of Johannesburg will take place in the fifth round on March 14 and will be hosted by the orange army.
