Parktown Girls public speakers impress

PARKVIEW – An average of 60 learners attend the school's public speaking group each week.

Parktown High School for Girls had an exciting start to the year with public speaking.

According to the teacher in charge of public speaking Jenny Lamberti, an average of 60 learners have attended the public speaking group each week.

“We have also had nine teams of four participating in the Gauteng High Schools Public Speaking Festival, where each team had to present a 15-minute speech,” said Lamberti.

Parktown matric learners performed well in the competitive section with the first team including Ilham Acoob, Atiyyah Ballim and Bianca Lachman achieving A+ in the group category and Lauren Lachman achieving A+ in the individual category.
