August 20: Women’s Month Collaboration
Artist Souls and BailaAfrika Afro Latino Dance Family invite you to celebrate Women’s Month with us, by participating in a fun-filled family-friendly morning of dance. We have an amazing lineup with some of Jozi’s finest female dance teachers ready to get you moving and shaking what ‘yo mama gave ya’, and get your blood pumping.

August 12: The Turquoise Harmony Institute Refugee Concert
This August the Turquoise Harmony Institute (THI) will once again bring hope awareness and advocacy to the country’s and continent’s refugees in their third award-winning concert. THI aims to raise awareness of the plight of the numerous people on the African continent and around the world who have been chased from their homes, and forgotten and misplaced by others, and to celebrate those who superhumanly overcame the challenges of being forced to be a stranger in another’s country.

August 26 to 28: 2nd World Sound Concert
The concert features Khanyisile Mthetwa accompanied by Peter Cartwright on piano. Khanyisile is a highly-skilled multi-award-winning classical flautist who is nominated in three categories in the 28th South African Music Awards.

August 27: Die Gat in die Donker
One piano, one voice, one cello, 20 years of music. Niel ‘Berg returns to the stage with his latest production Die Gat in die Donker. For the first time, the performance will only consist of compositions written by Niel over the past 20 years. Natalie Bentley provides the soulful cello accompaniment, giving songs and melodies that had previously only been performed on the piano a completely new dimension.
