NetballerZ Coaching Academy hosts its first tournaments
Local netball academy had a fantastic day filled with tournaments at Greenside High School.
With great thanks to Greenside High School, the NetballerZ Coaching Academy hosted its first-ever tournament.
Founder and coach of the academy Miria Singh told the Gazette that the tournament turned out to be a great day that boosted a lot of the members’ experience and confidence in playing netball.
“We had different teams playing, including Brixton’s League of Netball Teams: Elite Squad, Ninja Squad, and Divas, accompanied by Houghton Hotties Tomb Raiders, The Parks Netball Team, Dolphins, and The Underdogs.”
She said they will host an open day on March 10 for juniors, males, open seniors, mixed teams and walk-in netball from the Greenside premises.
“In addition to the creation of a stable netball club in the area, NetballerZ Coaching Academy has put out a call for donations of netball kits, netball equipment, and netball bibs that will be redistributed to the underprivileged grass-roots teams far and wide.”
She thanked everyone who joined in and hopes all of the tournaments are a success.
