Unity Mahlanga: I think this NHI will be a great help but I hope the president is not doing this to campaign for the upcoming elections.
The paper spoke to some community members to give their thoughts on the National Health Insurance (NHB) Bill policy signed by the President into South African law.

Belliot August: I think it’s going to be a good thing for people who can’t afford medical aid in the country, and people who rely on medical services to live will benefit a lot.Tocklas Khumalo: I think this will work and it will be a great help because medication is expensive. This is the change South Africa needs because many people die due to lack of medical care.Sizeka Mxothwa: I don’t believe any of this. President Cyril Ramaphosa is using this to campaign for the election, because why now is he only thinking about this? I will believe it once I see it happen.Petrus Labuschagne: I think it is a good thing for a good cause and I hope it works out.
