Kanpai restaurant hosts sip-and-paint event to celebrate Mother’s Day

In honour of Mother's Day, Kanpai restaurant in Rosebank delighted guests with a unique event that combined creativity and culinary delight.

On the sunny Saturday before Mother’s Day, in the vibrant art district of Rosebank, Kanpai restaurant hosted a special event.

The restaurant was transformed into a creative space where guests enjoyed art and delicious food, creating a memorable celebration of motherhood.

Guests were treated to a day of artistic expression as they indulged in the fine art of wine and canvas painting. The event provided an opportunity for families and friends to bond while celebrating the important women in their lives.

“It’s an original, friendly relaxing way to spend the day. I think it’s a brilliant idea,” remarked Beatriz Blount, one of the delighted guests in attendance.

The atmosphere was filled with warmth and joy as families came together to celebrate motherhood in a unique and meaningful way.

Siya Sangweni, a representative of the restaurant, shared insights into the inspiration behind the event, “We often have events here, and most of our events are rooted in art. That is because we are in an art district, and we want to feed off of our surroundings and our environment. We thought of painting as something that can incorporate and be a fun activity to bring families together. “

He added, “We thought it is something that would be fitting as an activity for Mother’s Day.” The event, orchestrated to perfection by the restaurant’s enthusiastic team, featured a three-course meal specially curated for the occasion. From tantalising appetisers to decadent desserts, guests indulged in a culinary journey that complemented the artistic festivities.
