Bridget Schroeder : I think this area has a lot of potential to be really nice. It is very beautiful and it has lovely parks. Unfortunately, I just think that the type of people that are in this area are not nice. There is a lot of drug use in this area and a lot of crime and it just seems to have a lot of police around which kinda gives off an unsafe or uneasy feeling.
The paper asked a few community members about how they feel about the area they live in and this is what they had to say…
Noluthando Mayisela: It is safe, number 1; number 2, there’s no load-shedding where I am staying and I never struggle with getting water or any kind of shortage. It is also nice and chilled.Whitney Hlomelang: Where I live right now is so nice, hey, It’s very safe and my neighbours keep to themselves,I have only been here for a little while but when I compare it to my previous place I am never leaving .Caven Zulu: This place is nice and chilled, the people here are nice, very active and it is like very neighbourly and overall I am happy with it.Malcom Moeketsi : Where I live is very peaceful and the crime rate is low. We have never had any issues with water at all while load-shedding is a norm so I won’t complain much about it.
