Rosebank Rotary Club raises over R23 000 for global and local causes
The club hosted its first fundraiser of the year at Satori Restaurant.
The aroma of rich Italian cuisine, the buzz of friendly competition, and the thrill of winning combined to create an unforgettable evening at Satori Restaurant on February 27.
The Rosebank Rotary Club hosted its first fundraiser of the year, a lively bingo night filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a strong sense of purpose.

With tables packed and daubers ready, guests enjoyed a night of exciting rounds of bingo, complemented by Satori’s signature dishes. The air was thick with anticipation as participants eagerly marked off their numbers, hoping for a lucky streak. But beyond the thrill of the game, there was a more profound mission at play – raising funds for two worthy causes.

By the end of the evening, the club had successfully raised an impressive R23 190, a testament to the dedication of Rotarians Sonja and Stephen Hood, whose meticulous planning and passion turned this event into a resounding success. The funds will be used towards Rotary International’s End Polio Now campaign, a global initiative to eradicate polio, as well as supporting a long-term exchange student embarking on a life-changing year in Germany.
As the final bingo numbers were called and the last of the delicious pasta and pizzas were savoured, it was clear that this event was about more than just fundraising, it was about community, connection, and creating opportunities.
