DP World Lions blind cricketers have demonstrated a strong blend of experience and emerging talent. Isaac Bidla, the captain, has been instrumental in guiding the players through rigorous training and strategic planning.
“Bangalore is a major hub for cricket in India, and the city’s passionate fan base and facilities make it a dream destination for cricketers, especially in such a prestigious international setting,” said Bidla. “For many blind Proteas cricket players, it is a moment of national pride to be representing their country, showcasing their skills, and advancing the recognition of blind cricket on a bigger stage.”
The South African blind cricket team, especially DP World Lions blind cricketers Buhle Bhidla, Siyavuya Mahlikihla, Diketso Letlatsa, and Lwande Bhidla, are well-prepared for the five-match T20 series against India.

A key element of the tour is a two-day coaching clinic on May 10 and 11, where the blind Proteas and DP World Lions blind cricket players will engage in a collaborative learning experience with experienced Indian coaches.

Bidla explained that he hoped his team would improve their technical skills, understand team tactics, enhance physical fitness and agility, and build team spirit and confidence at the two-day coaching clinic.
