St Johns learner helps SA bring home double silver in Basketball

The Grade 10 learner participated in the Africa Region 5 Youth Games in Namibia on the South African men's U16 basketball team.

St John’s College Grade 10 learner Reza Creamer has made his school and country proud as a standout player for the South African men’s U16 basketball team.

Competing at the prestigious Africa Region 5 Youth Games, held in Windhoek, Namibia in early July, Reza and his teammates clinched two silver medals, one in the fast-paced, high-intensity 3×3 format, and another in the traditional 5×5 game.

In the 3×3 format, the team battled hard but were narrowly defeated by Malawi in the final. In the 5×5 tournament, they showed remarkable skill and teamwork, ultimately finishing second behind a strong Angolan side. A true team effort and a moment of immense pride for Reza, who continues to rise in the national basketball scene.
