Rosie dazzles with seven golds at Northerns Feis

Grade 4 pupil Hannah Skeen’s passion for Irish dancing is taking her all the way to the South African Irish Dance Championships.

Rosebank’s St Teresa’s Senior Primary School is celebrating the remarkable achievements of Grade 4 pupil Hannah Skeen, whose dedication to Irish dancing has seen her shine on the competition stage.
At the recent Northerns Feis, hosted at De La Salle Holy Cross College, Hannah delivered an outstanding performance, claiming seven gold medals, one silver, and two bronze.

Her crowning achievement was winning the Pre-Championship (PC3) category, reflecting both her skill and relentless commitment to the art form.
Hannah’s success builds on a series of milestones in her Irish dancing journey. Under the guidance of Sue Theron and Bernard van der Kuil at the Duncan Studio of Celtic Dance, she earned an A- in her Grade 3 exam and a B+ for Grade 4, demonstrating her steady growth and technique.

Looking ahead, Hannah is setting her sights on the South African Irish Dance Championships at Beaulieu College in Johannesburg during the first weekend of October, eager to continue her winning streak and showcase her talent on a national stage.
