Chantall Botha has since been appointed as the executive manager and looks forward to continuing Park Care’s proud legacy of quality, compassion, and care.
Botha noted that behind the scenes, the year was filled with hard work to keep Park Care safe, compliant, and beautiful.
“Our small but mighty maintenance team has worked tirelessly to repair, upgrade, and maintain our ageing infrastructure and extensive gardens. With the ongoing water shedding and long power cuts affecting Parktown West, our borehole system has been a true lifeline and when both power and water were out, community support kept our generator running through donations of fuel.”
Park Care continued to welcome new residents from private homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and other care facilities.

Families and friends are encouraged to visit during designated hours, enjoy time together in the coffee shop, lounges, and gardens, and participate in activities whenever possible. The visits make settling in easier.
The executive manager added that their Vrededorp Home-Based Care Project continued to support more than 200 older beneficiaries, helping them remain healthy, safe, and independent in an under-resourced suburb.
“This year, Park Care saw lively Friday Music and Movement sessions, colourful Heritage Day celebrations, joyful Mandela Day visits, and regular concerts.”
Botha concluded that as the year drew to a close, she wanted to thank every hand and heart that stood by Park Care.
“May this Festive Season bring you peace, joy, and rest. May the new year shine bright with hope and community spirit.”
