Ongoing traffic delays as Corlett Drive, Fairways lights remain out

Motorists using a busy Fairways intersection are experiencing continued delays after traffic lights remained out of order for several weeks.

Traffic lights at the corner of Jacobs Avenue and Corlett Drive in Fairways have been out of service for several weeks, causing ongoing delays and congestion, particularly during peak-hour traffic.

On February 9, traffic was backed up during the morning rush as motorists navigated the intersection without the assistance of functioning signals. Drivers experienced slower travel times, with the situation affecting the steady flow of vehicles through the area.

The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) has been contacted regarding the issue and indicated that it will provide feedback on February 11.

In the meantime, motorists are encouraged to report faulty traffic lights and other road-related concerns to JRA. Issues can be reported via the PotholeFixGP app, by using the USSD code 13447472#, or by calling the JRA hotline on 0860 562 874.

Motorists are urged to remain patient as the matter will be resolved soon to restore normal traffic flow at this busy intersection..
