Johannesburg Water announced that efforts to stabilise the situation, including system configuration changes overnight (September 15), have led to slight improvements at the Parktown 2 reservoir and satisfactory progress at the Berea reservoir. However, despite these measures, all three reservoirs, including the Dunkeld reservoir, remain critically low.
The water utility has warned that residents in higher-lying areas will experience poor water pressure or complete outages until further notice. The Dunkeld reservoir, in particular, continues to face severe challenges, leading to significant disruptions in supply.
