Newly appointed Parktown High School for Girls’ headmistress looks forward to 2025
Parktown High School for Girls' headmistress aims for minimal disruption academically in 2025.
Newly appointed Parktown High School for Girls’ headmistress, Gail Davidson’s wish for 2025 is for every girl learner to feel safe and welcome at school no matter their background and work towards achieving academic success.
Davidson noted that she looked forward to a year of minimal disruption, red tape, and crisis. “Then I remember that I work with 1 100 teenagers and their families, a staff of 100 plus and their families, and life as we know it is always changing, so I will hope for the lights to stay on; for there to be water in the taps always; that our learners are in class every day; our staff are forever passionate; and that everyone works hard to keep Parktown the best school.”

She added that she also hoped that all the girls would take advantage of everything offered at Parktown to become the best version of themselves and become role models and mentors to younger generations and work to make this country a better place.
“I pray that our educators will feel valued and continue to give of themselves in many ways so that we develop our learners into confident, collaborative, and creative young women,” concluded Davidson.
