The publication rounded up the biggest sports stories for 2024

Parktown High School for Girls hosted more than 10 schools for their spring sports day.

The publication was invited to several sporting events in the area in 2024 including school sports.
Parktown Girls High School for Girls hosted more than 10 schools for their spring sports day on October 4.

Roedean School SA, Kingsmead College, St Mary’s, Waverley School, and St Dominic’s were some of the schools in attendance.

Parktown High School for Girls’ headmistress Gail Davidson was excited to host other schools for the sports day and was glad the weather came to the party.

Parktown Boys’ High School celebrated Old Boys’ Day

War cries, cheers, and prideful smiles filled Parktown Boys’ High School‘s rugby field on March 15 at the 2024 Old Boys’ Day.

The sporting weekend kicked off with an Old Boys’ assembly on March 14, ending with nail-biting hockey and rugby games between Parktown Boys and St Alban’s College.

Parktown Boys’ High School headmaster Kevin Stippel reflected on the day and said the vibrant occasion of Old Boys’ Day coincided with the school’s 101st birthday.

“Our celebrations ensured over 5 000 individuals graced our school grounds, infusing the air with nostalgia and unity. The spirit of tradition and legacy resonated throughout the day, as current students engaged in spirited contests across various sports with our alumni.”
