Pridwin wraps up 2024 with festive cheer and remarkable achievements
As the festive season fills the air with joy, Pridwin Preparatory School celebrated a year of growth, achievement, and community spirit.
As the year draws to a close, Pridwin Preparatory School reflected on an incredible 2024 filled with milestones, achievements, and community spirit.
November saw the launch of the cutting-edge Integr8 Lab, the first step in Pridwin’s future fit growth plan. This innovative space fosters curiosity and collaboration, blending sciences, arts, and numeracy into an inspiring learning journey.
The Grade 7 class celebrated academic excellence with 22 scholarships awarded to top schools, including St John’s, Michaelhouse, and Hilton College. Notable honours included academic, sports, and music scholarships.

Sustainability took centre stage as the Grade 4 learners nurtured the community garden, contributing fresh produce to St Vincent School for the Deaf and Pridwin’s lunch menu. This initiative complemented the school’s forthcoming WESSA Silver Award for environmental excellence.
Fundraising efforts shone brightly, with the Junior Prep Art Auction raising over R580 000 and the Knight Run contributing R80 000 to the Baragwanath Burns Unit. The outreach committee supported St Vincent School with food hampers and a bakery upgrade, creating sustainable solutions for their learners.

In sports, Pridwin celebrated an undefeated tennis season and stellar cricket representation, while the PPA enhanced facilities with a new scrum machine and advanced swimming tech. Dylan Price’s triumph in the Atterbury Piano Competition, and a strong showing in cross-country and hockey, further highlighted the boys’ achievements.
Headmaster Ross Grimley extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Pridwin community. “May this festive season bring peace, joy, and prosperity. Here’s to a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with endless possibilities!”
