Creators Brunch at Just Teddy’s showcases local talent and innovation
South Africa’s rising creatives gathered in Hyde Park for a brunch that blended inspiration, networking, and local talent.
A vibrant mix of content creators, entrepreneurs and thought leaders gathered at Just Teddy in Hyde Park on May 31 for the latest edition of the Creators Brunch, an event focused on building community, sparking collaboration and inspiring creativity.

Founded by lifestyle entrepreneur Sakhe Silwana, the brunch has become a growing platform for digital creators and small businesses to connect in meaningful ways.
The morning featured insights from leaders in the creative economy, including Asha Singh from Humanz App, who discussed authenticity in influencer marketing, AI expert Callan Abrahams on the role of technology in storytelling, and fashion designer Thobey Cooper, who spoke about personal branding and identity in the digital space.

Guests enjoyed a curated brunch experience and explored local products from homegrown brands, including Elite Jewellery, Thlaho Naturals, LadyLu Designs, and others.
Silwana said the idea behind the event came from her own experience navigating the creative industry. “I wanted to create a space where people could be themselves, learn from others and feel seen,” she shared.
With plans for future events, the Creators Brunch is quickly establishing itself as a must-attend gathering for those passionate about creativity and entrepreneurship.
