One of the accused was granted bail and therefore released. In 2024, he was shot in a shootout with law enforcement after being involved in a robbery, which resulted in his death. The 2023 matter proceeded in court with CAP’s legal team monitoring the case and the status of the remaining two accused.

Recently, the remaining two accused pleaded guilty and were each sentenced to 15 years’ direct imprisonment for attempted murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances and possession of unlicensed firearms.
