Warriors U6 and U7 walked away as winners from their matches
The U7 Warriors Football Club won 4-0 against the U7 Mondeo Meteors
Team spirit and jubilation filled the Wanderers Club field on July 12 when the U7 Warriors Football Club played against the U7 Mondeo Meteors.
Parents and guardians gathered around the field to cheer and motivate their children who played against one another to walk away victoriously.
The U7 Warriors Football Club won 4-0 against the U7 Mondeo Meteors.
The Warriors head coach, Figo Moloi, was proud of his team, “The boys played brilliant football while showing improvement during the game. As a coach, when you see what you teach your team during practice come to fruition on the field is always great.”
The U7 Mondeo Meteors coach, Tshepo Mokoena, said although it was disappointing that they did not have a full squad, his team played well and fair results were obtained.
U6 Warriors Football Club against the U6 Old Edwardians
In a nail-biting match, the U6 Warriors Football Club played and won 1-0, against the U6 Old Edwardians.
The U6 Warriors Football Club coach, Percy Mesi said the game was tough but his team’s improvement was admirable.
“We have played against Old Edwardians twice before and we lost 2-0. They have a top player who is located at the back and knows how to manoeuvre his way through the defence by dribbling his way to the front.”

Mesi added that today’s game was different because the players had high intensity and tightened their intensity and team effort, which resulted in good football.
“They also showed improvement in their basic skills and positioning on the field and understanding of the overall game,” noted Mesi.
