Little Ashford awards first Kganya Mokhele scholarships

A moving tribute becomes a beacon of opportunity as Little Ashford honours young Kganya Mokhele’s memory by opening doors to early education for deserving children.

In a touching celebration of legacy and learning, Little Ashford Preschools proudly awarded the first Kganya Mokhele Scholarships at a heartfelt ceremony in Johannesburg.

Established in memory of young Kganya Mokhele, the scholarship offers full-tuition support to children who might otherwise not have access to quality early childhood education. The inaugural recipients, selected with care, come from families who share a deep belief in the power of education to change lives.

“Kganya will always be held close in our hearts,” said Professor Maurice Radebe, speaking on behalf of the Mokhele family. “Through this scholarship, his memory lives on in the joy, promise and growth of each child.”
Rozaan Strydom, executive head at Little Ashford, echoed this sentiment: “This is more than a scholarship. It’s a living tribute to Kganya’s life and the love he brought into the world. We are humbled to walk alongside these families and honoured to build a future in his name.”

The ceremony brought together the Mokhele family, school leadership, and guests in a moment of reflection and unity. It marked the beginning of a legacy rooted in remembrance, hope, and the bright potential of every young learner.
