“Although we won 2-0, it was a difficult game; the other team played well as they kept us on our toes and kept us under pressure, and moved the ball well. Moving forward, we need to work on dominating the game more often.”

U12 Benoni Northens coach Les Grobler said both teams played well.

“My team had good chances but remains a work-in-progress, and they’re still young. It was a good, clean game.”

U13 Highlands Park Premier team played against BCC Football Club.

U13 Highlands Park coach, Marco Cabeleira, said he was proud of his team’s performance.

“Highlands played a good game of football today; we dominated as we should. I would have liked to see us take more chances, which would have probably resulted in more goals.’

U13 BCC Football Club coach Mpho Croote admitted that his team’s performance was not great.

“We lacked energy and effort; it was also a tough game because we didn’t have substitutes on the bench, which resulted in players being tired. We also played against a good team that had skillful players.”
