King Edward VII School Class of 2025 celebrates strong matric results

Pride, relief, and celebration filled the grounds of King Edward VII School as the Class of 2025 received their long-awaited matric results, marking another solid year for the historic boys’ school.

The gates of King Edward VII School (KES) swung open with excitement as the Class of 2025 returned to campus to collect their matric results, sharing the moment with classmates and teachers who had walked the journey alongside them.

The boys celebrated together, reflecting on years of hard work and late nights, as the school recorded commendable outcomes.

Headmaster David Lovatt said the results highlighted both academic strength and resilience, with 84% of learners achieving Bachelor’s Degree pass status, while 96% qualified for further study opportunities.

While four pupils narrowly missed the mark, Lovatt noted that these moments also carry important lessons. “Matric is a reminder that success comes from consistent effort and commitment.” He added that he was proud of the determination shown by the group as a whole.

Top achievers stood out, with several boys earning seven or eight distinctions, a testament, Lovatt said, to the quality of education and the culture of excellence at the school.

Looking ahead, the headmaster expressed optimism for the next class, saying the strong foundations laid by the Class of 2025 would inspire future learners.
