Lyndhurst’s broken stormwater drain to be attended to after Fairmount sinkhole repairs

JRA cannot provide a completion timeline for Lyndhurst's broken stormwater drain.

The publication visited and sounded the alarm about the blocked stormwater drain in January.

JRA regional operations head of department, Khayalethu Gqibitole, on March 12, explained, “Kindly note that the work has been scheduled for repair. Our stormwater team is currently commencing with sinkhole repairs in Fairmount.”

Gqibitole added that once that work had been completed, the team would proceed to repair the damaged stormwater infrastructure.
