A new beginning
As this website bids farewell to Editor-in-chief, Kennedy Mudzuli, a new beginning is on its way and with it, much excitement.
With goodbyes, come new hellos.
Kennedy has led the Caxton Johannesburg North local newspapers for the past five years and has brought controversy, passion and love to each page. Unfortunately, it is now time to say goodbye.
Kennedy, thank you for leading us with grace, for being the community hero and for fighting our battles.
My name is Megan McLean, the new group editor for the Joburg North newspapers. While I am humbled to be editor, I would like to state that this is not my newspaper, nor is it the news editors or the journalists some of you may have encountered from time to time. No, this is your newspaper and as a community player you have the right to say what it is you would like to read about.
Without your voice, this newspaper is powerless.
I hope to start off with topics ranging from sustainable living/progress and service delivery challenges, and I invite you to comment, make suggestions and participate in any way, shape or form. This is your newspaper, your voice and your community. I welcome interaction, debate and healthy conversation. Please email your community issues – tell me what tickles your fancy and what doesn’t. Together, we can raise the issues that have not been addressed.
As a united voice we can strive for a better tomorrow and change your suburb, your community and the Joburg we all know and love.
