Highlands Park U13 lost 2–1 to Liso Africa U13 in an intense match

Highlands Park U13 coach confirmed that the team maintained their third-place position in the league.

Liso Africa U13 walked away as 2–1 winners on June 28, after an intense soccer game against Highlands Park U13 at the Linksfield grounds.

Parents and guardians were present to support their teams and cheered them on when goals were scored.

Mduduzi Yende, Liso Africa coach, said although his team won, the team could’ve performed better.

“We played, but we didn’t have the aggression I was looking for. The boys were not enthusiastic, which made them look like they took the game for granted; hence, we conceded a goal later in the game.”

Highland’s Park head coach, Zaheem Mayet, admitted that it was a difficult game.

“The boys struggled to find momentum and rhythm, but we slowly picked up and conceded an unfortunate goal earlier in the game, and we managed to find our rhythm in the second half.”
