King Edward VII School’s Easter Rugby & Hockey festival enjoys another successful day
Houghton- Despite the rain, it did not dampen the spirits of all who attended the second day of the school's Easter Festival on 4 April.
King Edward enjoyed another delightful day of their Easter Rugby & Hockey Festival as excited spectators filled the stands of the sports grounds of the school in order to cheer for their sides.
The school teams from all over the country battled each other in a manner of good sportsmanship.
King Edward VII Preparatory School’s U13A Rugby beat Pirates Rugby Club by an impressive 24-0.
King Edward VII School’s U19A Hockey side lost to Queen’s College 1-2.
The main game between King Edward VII School and Rondebosch Boys’ High was set to be a cracker.
As the kick-off approached it started to rain. Rondebosch’s backline explored the notion of fasted-paced running rugby however King Edward was able to match their forwards and were able to secure a draw in the dying minutes of the game.
King Edward drew to Rondebosch 10-10.
