Decadence, glamour at new gay event
BRAAMFONTEIN - A new regular event on the gay party scene will be launched at luxurious event space, Randlords, this weekend.
Kryptonite Rooftop Session, Kryptonite Events’ official launch party, will feature a line-up of some of the city’s hottest talent, a drag performance, and a champagne giveaway.
Organiser and DJ Delon Palm said this event would be the first of “regular, upmarket, cutting-edge parties” that wiould take place every two to three months.
This weekend’s event will include the talents of South African superstar DJ Ryan Dent, Palm, Warren Louder, Jamie de Lima, soulful vocalist Litha, electronic dance duo Bam Bam Boys, and drag artiste Crystal Carrington.
“For the first time in over 10 years, we will bring the decadence, glamour and depeche mode that is Queer, and put the tired, lifeless, uneventful, drab, blasé gay nightlife to rest by injecting it with some outrageous and sensational party fun,” said Palm.
Kryptonite Rooftop Session will take place on 7 June at Randlords, 22nd floor, South Point Towers, 41 De Korte Street, Braamfontein, from 8.30pm.
