Bryanston teams rah-rah all the way to provincial champs

BRYANSTON - The cheerleading teams from Bryanston High School participated in the Gauteng Provincial Cheerleading Championship.

 

Two cheerleading teams of Bryanston High School participated in the Gauteng Provincial Cheerleading Championship at St Dominic’s School in Boksburg.

The all-girls squad, Bryanston Stars, and the co-ed squad, Bryanston Magic, impressed at the championship with daring stunts and true finesse with the school as a whole finishing third on the day.

Marketing co-ordinator for the school, Lauren Streng said, “A total of 10 schools were invited to compete in the all-day event. “Displays started at 8am in the morning and continued into the late afternoon, early evening. Each team had to put forward their best displays in order to be crowned the Provincial Champions at the end of the day.

“We would just like to congratulate each of the learners and coaches who dedicate endless hours to this sport – a massive congratulations on this outstanding achievement.”
