Suspects arrested for possession and a stolen vehicle in Buccleuch

Officers acted swiftly and found the tools in the vehicle. Further investigations revealed that the vehicle had false number plates.

Four suspects were arrested for the possession of housebreaking tools and a stolen motor vehicle in Buccleuch on 9 August.

According to Sandton Police Station spokesperson, Captain Granville Meyer, the suspects were arrested during a stop-search roadblock in the area. “The suspects tried to make a U-turn when they approached the roadblock but to no avail,” said Meyer.

Officers acted swiftly and found the tools in the vehicle. Further investigations revealed that the vehicle had false number plates. The suspects appeared in court on 11 August. Members of the community are encouraged to contact the South Africa Police Service with any information pertaining to a crime.
