A grateful Wendywood and Morningside Manor community
WENDYWOOD – The Wendywood and Morningside Manor Can (Community Action Network) looks forward to continuing its work in the community.
Wendywood and Morningside Manor Can (Community Action Network) would like to thank the Sandton Chronicle for its continued support.
Team leader Sharon Lefkowtiz writes:
On behalf of the Wendywood and Morningside Manor Can we would like to thank you for your very kind and much-needed media coverage of our recent Farming Revolution of Alex Project event in Sandton Chronicle.
Our Farming Revolution of Alex Project training days held in Alexandra were a great success. Your coverage of our event has not only highlighted all the good that is being done by our Can but it also gives our sponsors, coordinators and volunteers the encouragement and acknowledgement for all their hard work which is often gone unnoticed.
We had children of our beneficiaries below join us. The aim was to teach the community to be able to grow and sustain their own gardens.
Below is a list of our beneficiaries:
- Pro Labore Dei in Alexandra charity organisation
- Vuka Skoko charity organisation
- Legae la Alex in Alexandra youth and development programme
The beneficiaries have shown immense appreciation and gratitude for all the donations. It is through continued contributions such as these that make it possible for Can groups to continue to identify the needs in communities and respond to those needs.
We hope that we can count on your ongoing support.
