Expect traffic delays as JRA resurfaces South Road
The resurfacing project on South Road is expected to be completed by July 1.
Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) cautions motorist of roadworks currently underway on South Road in Kramerville, Sandton.
According to the JRA, it is carrying out a resurfacing project on South Road which began on June 22 and is expected to be completed on July 1.
The roadworks will result in slight traffic delays for motorists travelling towards South Road and Rivonia Road between 09:00 and 15:00.
“The road resurfacing scope of work entails milling out the existing aged asphalt surface, crack-sealing, resurfacing with new asphalt and new road markings.
“Two lanes affected by the roadworks have been closed off to traffic for the duration of the project. The east and west lanes are open to accommodate counter-flow traffic in the meantime.”
The utility added that this project formed part of its commitment to deliver good quality roads that were accessible and safe for the community.
