Bryanston resident talks about community involvement

Well-known eBlockwatch founder and community activist, André Synman says it's all about finding passionate people.

André Snyman, Bryanston resident and founder of eBlockwatch Community, talks about what makes the area great.

Snyman has lived in Bryanston for over 35 years and believes Cape Town is beautiful, but the people of Sandton win. “When I go for a walk, everyone greets each other.”
His favourite place to grab a quick cuppa is at Woolworths takeaway in Riverside Shopping Centre.

He believes the community can better the area by finding passionate residents. “For every person who does a community project, like Gail Williams, who is invested in beautifying the river. Get behind someone who is driven to better the community.”
Another resident removed illegal adverts every morning but eventually, he stopped. To this, Snyman says, is for a lack of support.

He urged big businesses to become involved in projects in Sandton like Outsurance and Hippo. “Back you community heroes whether their aim is big or small, it takes all of us keep our area safe, clean and beautiful.”
