EFF’s 10th anniversary celebration in Sandton’s Mushroom Park
The EFF celebrate their 10th aniversary at Mushroom Park with attendees saying the event may shutdown Sandton central.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have arrived to celebrate and honour 10 years of service in South Africa.
Roads have been closed around the Sandton CBD to allow for the procession of supporters to make their way to Mushroom Park on July 22.

Sandton Chronicle journalist, Lebogang Tlou was there to capture the moments.
A private security guard discussed how the event prepared for the safety of the suburb and attendees, “It complies with all the health and safety concerns that could have been raised with the City of Joburg. There is police presence as well as private security.”

Reports on the ground suggest that Sandton CBD will be ‘shut down’ as thousands are expected as they make their way from Alexandra.

EFF party member, Leshope G Mokone was asked what this event means for EFF and for Sandton, and he said, “This is massive. The EFF are trendsetters. This is light at the end of the tunnel, things will change.”
There is also a demarcated children’s area.
