The school’s leadership aimed to expose children to new avenues of talent, recognising that every child has their own unique star quality, whether on the sports field, stage, or in the realm of fashion.
The school head of events, Yolande van der Merwe, shared her enthusiasm for the event’s success. “Having our first fashion show was a wonderful experience. Our learners demonstrated incredible creativity and passion, and it was inspiring to see the confidence they displayed on stage. We wanted to give every child a platform to shine, just like we do with our other events.”

The evening was a vibrant display of youthful imagination, with learners showcasing their dance moves and poetry, while others sang and played guitars or other instruments.
The event not only highlighted their design skills; it emphasised teamwork, planning, and dedication.
“Parents played a vital role in supporting their children, helping with preparations, purchasing tickets, and cheering loudly from the audience,” said Van der Merwe. “The event was so well-attended that it created a lively, energetic atmosphere, which made it a memorable night for everyone involved.”
She expressed her gratitude for the collaborative effort behind the scenes. “Our teachers, especially the Grade 2 teacher group who worked diligently backstage, played a crucial role in bringing this show to life. Their teamwork and dedication fostered a strong sense of community among our staff, which translated into a fantastic event for our students and families.”
