A joint site visit was conducted, led by councillor Kenny Kunene, MMC for Transport, along with other city officials, to assess the situation and determine the necessary remedial work. The pipe burst has now been repaired, and Eskom has completed the final diversion of their cables.
The next focus is on repairing the damaged storm water infrastructure and managing ground water drainage to enable the final reinstatement of the affected area. The co-ordinated efforts aim to minimise further disruptions and restore normal conditions swiftly.
Johannesburg Water and the Johannesburg Roads Agency thank residents and businesses for their patience and understanding during this process. They reaffirm their commitment to restoring full service and infrastructure stability in Sandton as soon as possible.
