Joy, laughter, and play as Friends of the Field and Study hosts Christmas party
Friends of the Field and Study put together an afternoon designed entirely for Dimphonyana Tsa Lapeng Orphanage children to enjoy.
The Field and Study Park in Parkmore came alive with noise and colour on November 29 as Friends of the Field and Study (FOFS) welcomed children from the Dimphonyana Tsa Lapeng Orphanage for their annual Christmas party.
FOFS, an NPO that has spent more than 17 years caring for the park, sees this event as one of the highlights of its calendar. The group has long been committed to keeping the space safe, clean, and enjoyable for the community, and this celebration is one of the ways they share that commitment with young people who don’t often get the chance to spend a carefree day outdoors.

For the children, the party was pure delight. They ran between the playground equipment, chased each other across the lawns, and threw themselves into every activity with the kind of unfiltered joy adults always envy.
The wide-open spaces of the park gave them room to breathe, explore, and simply be children.
