Executive head of Curro Rivonia celebrates 100% IEB pass rate as Class of 2025 takes flight

They aimed high and soared. Curro Rivonia’s Class of 2025 has achieved exceptional IEB matric results, recording a 100% pass rate and a remarkable 97% Bachelor’s Degree pass rate, outperforming last year’s results.

When the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) matric results were released on January 12, there was only one word echoing through the halls of Curro Rivonia: Pride.’

The Class of 2025 delivered a flawless 100% pass rate, accompanied by an outstanding 97% Bachelor’s Degree pass rate, a 2% improvement on 2024’s results, but for Curro Rivonia, these results represent far more than statistics. They tell the story of resilience, commitment, and a school community that believes in unlocking potential and shaping future leaders.

The school’s executive head Dumisani Kunene described the moment as one of celebration and purpose. “We are so, so proud of the Class of 2025. We’ve given these young men and women wings to fly to wherever they want to fly in the future.”

Kunene emphasised that Curro Rivonia’s mission extends beyond academic achievement. “I want our learners to leave with more than excellent results. I want each of them to take the values that we’ve given them, not only the education, and go make a meaningful contribution to the future of our country.”

As the matriculants step confidently into the next chapter of their lives, the school is already looking ahead. Kunene had a clear message for the Class of 2026. “The challenge now lies with you to better the results of 2025. It’s all in your hands, and you won’t be walking this journey alone. Your teachers, the school, and the entire Curro community are behind you.”

He concluded with a call to action that speaks to Curro Rivonia’s broader vision. “Go out into the future, succeed, and help make South Africa a better place for everyone. Congratulations once again Class of 2025.”
