Hard Rock Cafe host Ruby Blue album launch
Yinon takes audience on a surreal journey through the world of his authentic, magical music.

Sandton’s Hard Rock Cafe served as a landing pad for angels on July 1 when international folk music singer-songwriter Yinon Falkson launched his third studio album, Ruby Blue, to audiences at the Nelson Mandela Square-based venue.

Yinon’s sound is surreal, transcendental and so soothing that anyone within earshot would become transfixed by the surreal experience of hearing his music. With a soul-riveting performance and thought-provoking sets, Falkson’s music is perfect for introspective soul-reviewing, and bluesy contemplation at the end of a tedious day.
Falkson was accompanied throughout the album launch by local bass guitar sensation, David Wein, and the super-talented drummer Greg Katz.

“The album, inspired by his time spent in Israel, Mexico and the United States of America, contains 10 original songs – which were written and produced by Yinon – and two cover songs,” said Katz.
“Yinon began playing music at a young age and has continuously been recording and performing for 15 years. He enjoys performing his music as well as collaborating with other local and international artists.”

According to Katz, Falkson’s musical inspiration was drawn from The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Pink Floyd as well as legends Paul Simon and Leonard Cohen.
Hard Rock Café’s sales consultant Angelique Levin, said Hard Rock in Sandton was excited to serve as a platform for talented performers interested in carving out a path for themselves in the entertainment industry.
