Crawford College Sandton celebrate on result day

SANDTON - Crawford College Sandton celebrated the success of their matriculants’ exam results on 6 January.

Well done!

Ingo Vogt, the school’s senior deputy principal congratulated the class of 2014 during a celebratory breakfast which took place at the school. “I believe celebrating success is important,” said Vogt. “Success is a team effort and everyone has worked extremely hard.”

Vogt not only acknowledged the hard work of the matric pupils, but recognised the support of teachers and the parents of the pupils. “We expected good results as our pupils had put in extra effort to give us pleasing results.”

One of the school’s top achievers with 10 distinctions, Rahul Fakir, was also acknowledged for his achievements during the breakfast. He said he was focused from the beginning of his matric year up to the end of his last exam. Fakir is still deciding between pursuing computer engineering and actuarial science in South Africa or abroad.

The college obtained 500 distinctions. There was a 3.7 percent average of distinctions per pupil, a 100 percent pass rate, 98.5 percent of students are eligible for bachelor degree studies.

The school’s average was above 80 percent in nine subjects, and above 70 percent in 13 other subjects. “Well done to all the pupils’ efforts, they have worked extremely hard and we are proud,” added Vogt.
