The largest clock in the southern hemisphere has found a home in Sandton’s very own Nelson Mandela Square.

The 5.75-metre-long clock weighing 500kgs is situated directly behind the Nelson Mandela statue overlooking the square.

Developed in 1994, the square has since become an infamous, iconic lifestyle destination in the city. “It’s [a] physical space to provide visitors with an unparalleled environment of beauty and serenity through which to indulge.”

The clock includes a diamond hour piece, translucent numerals with satin black and gold finishes, and LED lighting to create a unique halo, illuminating the clock at night.
