Bryanston golf challenge honours chairman

BRYANSTON – The winner of this year’s Chairman's Challenge Golf Trophy was 18-year-old Enzo Barbaglia.

Bryanston Country Club celebrated the success of another Chairman’s Golf Challenge.

The challenge serves as an opportunity each year for the club to salute and share their gratitude for chairman Ian Murdoch, and his commitment and loyalty to the club. Golfers took to the course on July 17 for the annual golf challenge.

“Ian has been on the committee for 12 years and has been chairman for the past six years. Whilst it is not an individual effort, Ian certainly does an incredible job leading the club team,” said Bryanston Country Club marketing manager Tilani Edwards.

Like many other sporting organisations and businesses, the past 18 months have been challenging for the club, requiring a big amount of time and dedication from everyone.

Murdoch was also internationally recognised in 2017 with the Boardroom Magazine Award for his leadership role at the club. “The past four years have only reinforced how worthy he was to achieve this recognition.”

Edwards concluded, “The Chairman’s Challenge has certainly taken on a new meaning for him, for us members it is a great opportunity to play a trophy event but also to thank him for his leadership.”
