1 000 loaves of bread donated in Bryanston and surrounds by local car club
BRYANSTON – The MSG’s successful bread drive donates 1 000 loaves of bread to those in need.
The Motor Sunday’s Group (MSG) reaches out to the community and donates 1 000 bread loaves for Women’s Day.
Founded in 2018 by Kuhle Silevu, Neo Sepeng, Rivo Mhlari and Peter Jr Shikwinya, MSG is a group of car enthusiasts who meets up for private car runs and drives throughout the year.
The MSG held the bread drive on Women’s Day at the Bryanston Wedge Shopping Centre after raising R41 000 through crowdfunding. This was to allow those who wanted to be a part of the blanket drive but could not make it, to become a part of it in other ways.

The proceeds of the collective efforts went to the bread drive as well as 11 families. A whopping 1 000 loaves of bread were donated. MSGs constituents came to the meeting point to collect 20 loaves per car to donate to any homeless people in their respective areas or people in need that they knew of. The paying-it-forward foundation also came to collect loaves to donate to its beneficiaries.
The group runs an annual blanket drive which is open to all members of the public. The blanket drive sets out to collect and donate blankets and food parcels to children’s homes and families every year.
The organisers identify the beneficiaries which mainly consist of disadvantaged people and the idea behind it is to inspire the children.
