Saints learners take pride in their community
LYME PARK – The learners spent their morning on September 4 clearing debris and litter from the spruit.
Learners of St Stithians Girls and Boys colleges took pride in giving back to their community.
The learners spent their morning on September 4 dedicating their time to clearing up debris and litter from the Braamfontein Spruit between Ferndale and Bryanston.
According to Grade 11 learner Amy Ralph, the teams were able to collect quite a substantial amount of rubbish and were thus thanked by many people who reside in the area.
She added that the learners have done a number of these clean ups over the year, doing their part for the environment and the community.
“It is quite alarming how much rubbish accumulates in the area thus we definitely plan on doing it again soon,” she concluded.
