Dodgeball winter season reaches its conclusion
The new champions of the dodgeball winter season were announced at the Sandton Action Sports Arena after the finals on June 28.
With a lot of competition shown at the Sandton Action Sports Arena surrounding the highly addictive game of dodgeball, organisers were excited to read out the final results for the 2022 winter season and to announce the first-place winners.
On this year’s final day of the winter season on June 28, the competition between all the teams was more than unpredictable – from a few underdogs giving it their all when competing against the giants and to the giants showing signs of weakness. The 2022 season had a lot of things to offer for both the teams and for the spectators cheering for their team.
Results:
- Third place [bronze]: Wolves of Ball Street
- Second place [silver]: Ernst & Young
- First place [gold]: Dodge Style
A drastic change from the previous season was shown. The top three teams (Cips Dodgers, Cips Ballers and the Dodgefathers) from the previous season were no where to be found in this year’s top-three log.
Sam Ndlovu, who has been the night manager of Sandton Action Sports for more than a decade, was pleased to hear that there were no reported serious injuries during the course of the 2022 season. He concluded that he hopes to see an incline of individuals and teams joining next season.
