Indoor hockey season at Sandton Action Sports commences
The Imposters make a dash for it as they win their opening hockey match of week four at the Sandton Action Sports arena.
Three weeks into the new season of the mixed action hockey league at Sandton Action Sports, teams have shown great improvement since their first game of the year.
In the opening match on August 2, Ernst and Young (EY) Shark competed against the Imposters who won the league the previous season.

The game started strong for the Imposters as Scot Cooper scored the first goal. Even though the majority of the first half was one-sided in favour of the Imposters, the EY Shark team did not show any signs of accepting defeat.
After the first half break, both teams made their return to the pitch with the Imposters 6–2 ahead. EY Sharks immediately took charge in the second half by taking advantage of all the mistakes that were made by the opposition to trail 7–8.

In the last few minutes of the match, Penyao Su of EY Sharks was given the golden opportunity to get a point from a draw but sadly had her goal disallowed after the ball had touched her foot. Imposters took home full points with the 8–7 win.
“It started slow for our team but once we all joined heads in the second half, we played well. A bit disappointed with my foot touching the ball but proud of myself and the team for not giving up,” said Su.
