Fairways Primary talent a big hit in Fairways Has Talent
Fairways Primary School learners received a standing ovation when it hosted its highly anticipated talent show in Illovo.
The learners of Fairways Primary School made it a show to remember as the school hosted its highly anticipated talent show, Fairways Has Talent.
Learners of the Illovo-based school showcased their various talents, such as singing, dancing, storytelling and even a Rubik cube act, in front of an audience of about 300 family members and friends.
“As the music of the first act boomed across the packed space, moms, dads and grandparents embraced every child’s performance. They danced and sang along with every competitor
“Deafening applause rang out after every act, whether a song, a dance or skill with Rubik’s cubes. Hours passed with no waning in excitement, the drought brought about by Covid-19 was finally over,” said the school’s Cherilyn Katz.
According to principal Melanie Hannie, the night was a product of the wonderful teamwork, spirit and dedication of the fundraising committee of Fairways Primary.
“[It] portrayed the holistic vision of what we aim to instil in our learners. All who were present here tonight had a big impact in bringing our children back into the spotlight where they shine after Covid-19 hit.”
Hannie also joined in on the fun-filled night with a song and dance on stage.
“We want to say a big thank you to Rhema Varrie, Bongi Archi and Altovise Lawrence for being such an inspiration for the learners and encouraging them to shine like the superstars they are. Well done Fairway’s Family, you made us proud.”
