The IIE Varsity College Sandton Campus hosted an open day where more than 250 prospective students and their parents had the opportunity to interact with the faculties, student advisors, student experience team, and student bodies.
Anto Kagisho, the communications person, said that the purpose of the open day was to give prospective students a chance to explore the campus and to get all the information they needed to ensure that they chose the best qualification for them.
“This was a great opportunity for the students and parents to receive more information on their desired qualifications. The day was filled with various events from the moment the students walked up the VC stairs.“
Jessica Lee Davidson, a third-year student in education in the foundation phase of teaching, highlighted that engaging with prospective students and their parents was a great chance for us to share our student experience firsthand.
“I was asked various questions by the students, but more so by the parents, who were keen to know where their children would be spending most of their time while at tertiary. The one element of the day that was a win was the showcase that all the student committees had, as this, in my opinion, was the perfect way to highlight what can be expected from the student experience team on campus.”
