Prudence Ntoyi: The RYLA camp built my confidence a lot, and I’m very optimistic about the future and what the future holds now. I believe that all the lessons we got there were very valuable. My plans for the future moving forward is to remain as confident as what the camp has made me.
Three Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) camp attendees were present at the Sandton Rotary Club’s third meeting of the year on February 6.
They had the task of presenting feedback on the camp at the meeting. Before the start of the meeting, the three were asked how the experience had made them better leaders and what was their plan to build on this experience.
Here is what each had to say:
Lebogang Mosehla: I am a better leader today because I learned how to be patient and how to come up with solutions quickly at the RYLA camp. I also learned how to respect one another. My plan on building from what I gained is to teach members of the youth how to respect everyone.Mothabi Mogafe: The RYLA camp has made me a better leader. We went through a lot of activities that made us dig deep inside and introspect. I learned that each and every obstacle or anything that we face, we have to look back at ourselves, dig deep, and find it in ourselves to get through those challenges. Building on this, I’m looking to take each and every challenge that comes my way.
