Local football team getting their foot on the season

The cloud-filled morning had not only provided the perfect setting for a thrilling soccer match but also added an ethereal touch to the entire experience, creating memories that lingered long after the final moments on the field.

As the sun began to rise on February 11, the Sandton Warriors FC boys had their soccer boots on, ready for their second tournament of the season.

As the soccer game unfolded beneath the expansive sky, the U19 Sulima 7 and Warriors FC teams were showcasing their football love and talent on the field.

Parents, soccer lovers, and fans were cheering and shouting in their favour.

Bevan Fransman, the head coach for the Warriors FC, said it was a two-half game and that it is always interesting for the players to adjust.

“We only started today with some of the guys here, and we all did well.” It is too obvious that they still need to get used to each other and playing as a team, and we are hoping that next time they will be even better at forming the team for today’s match.”

Fransman added that a one-on-one result is not that bad, and he is happy about what the U19 have done.

“Today was all about getting the guys to play as a team and see how they find their combinations and all, but it was a good match to watch and coach.”

Results: Sulima7 1—1 Warriors FC.
